Easter

Easter was just another day for us. What little Easter we did celebrate was on Good Friday while we had Shae & Jordes. I was woken up from a great, big, huge white rabbit with a green vest on and polka dot bow tie, not the most pleasant thing to wake up to :s. he decided to deliver chocolate bunnies to Shaely and Jordan, too bad Jordes was already awake (his our early bird) Jordes had the biggest smile on his face while the Easter bunny gave him his chocolate along with a picture. Then we went into Shaes room who was still asleep, he shook her and shook her en she finally opened her eyes and stated for about 30 seconds, closed them again for a bit to make sure she wasn't dreaming, the reached up to touch his face to make sure he was real, it was too funny and I couldn't control my giggling thinking what she must have been thinking lol. Then the East Ed bunny crawled in bed with Austin, took hi. About 5 minutes to wake up. Austin took his chocolate and went back to bed. It was fun for the kids and it started the day of great. I think how Big Keely's eyes would have been if she had seen him walking into her room peering over her crib. She wouldnt have cried but would have been wondering what the H was going on! During our stays in the hospital she was visited by a clown, a big hockey puck with arms and legs, and a big walking ray of sunshine. Every time one entered her room and stood beside her bed to get a picture she always stared back at it with her big huge eyes and looked at it, then looked at me, then back at it, wondering what she should do or how she should react. It was always so cute to see her expressions. So it was sad for her to miss the Easter Bunny and once again we were just left wondering. The rest of the weekend was our weekend without the kiddies. It remained a quiet weekend for us. No egg hunts, no Easter egg hunt at home for the kids just to much quietness. Keely had been here for the last two Easters. Her first one she hadnt been diagnosed yet and she was only four months old, we went to the Easter egg hunt but most of the time she was covered up with her stroller shut because it was way too cold. Last year it was way to cold for her too, she stayed home with daddy while Shae, Jordes and I went egg hunting. As soon as the egg hunt was over we came right home to see her. cousin Paula gave us little bunny ears for her and I was thinking of something she could have for a treat. For the past 8 months prior to this she was cut off from any solids, liquids or anything oral by mouth. Everything was through her feeding tube. I thought she deserved a little great. Some found her nice nice big red sucker, unwrapped it and let her have it for as long as she wanted. She clutched that thing and kept it in her mouth and stuck her little tongue out and licked it for about an hour. Every little kid deserves a treat at Easter, some bent the rules so she could at least enjoy the sweet take of a sucker. She was absolutely in her glory! For the rest of the afternoon we cruised around in her stroller around our house, then in the wagon and whatever else we could muster up indoors. I remember the day so vividly. She got an Elmo that told her he loved her, kissed her on the cheek making smooch sounds and blew her kisses, she LOVED it! Then she got a little baby chick the when we sat it on her chest or in the palm of her hand it chirped each time the bottom of its belly touched something, she was simply amazed at these little toys. They became 2 of her favorite toys. Today they sit on her nightstand in her oom. Elmo wears her glasses and her favorite beads. So comparing the last two Easters this was was kind of a lull. It was too quiet but like most days we spent the day together. These kinds of holidays will always be hard to fetuses to know always wondering how Keely would have enjoyed it, how cute she would have looked and of course the attention she would be receiving. Scott and I were just talking on the weekend how much attention she would have got if she had the chance to just be healthy imagining if she could, walk, run and play with the rest of the kids and more so her sister and brothers. The little girl probably wouldn't have had to do a single thing for herself. Our kids can keep us going and our minds obstructed but when it's our quiet weekends that's when we miss her the most. We don't like our quiet weekends without Keely, we have unwanted freedom that some might take for granted. If only we could still be parents to our little girl and enjoy any holidays still. Weve been robbed and so have her brothers and sister.

Happy Easter little dolly xoxo Mama!
